Paul Davies AM is used to being quizzed by politicians in the Welsh Assembly, but last week he met his match in the form of a group of schoolchildren from Preseli Pembrokeshire.
The class of pupils, teachers and helpers travelled to Cardiff, and they were taken on a tour around the Welsh Assembly building before Paul hosted a question and answer session with them.
The Assembly offers a wonderful opportunity for children from across Wales to visit and to see the institution in operation and receive a lesson from a qualified teacher based in the on site learning classroom.
Following a question and answer session, Mr Davies said, “I was so pleased to meet a class of very engaging pupils from Cleddau Reach Primary School. The children posed a number of interesting questions which included what was the most challenging part of my role, what my job entails, had I met anyone famous and what my interests and hobbies are.
I am pleased that a number of local schools are visiting the Assembly from across Wales.
The Assembly’s School Team also offer an outreach service, where they can send qualified teachers into schools and colleges which can be tailored to meet the needs of the pupils. You can find out more by telephoning 0300 200 6565 or emailing [email protected].
