The Finance Minister has cast doubt over the First Minister's claims that an extension to GP opening hours in Wales will cost nothing.
It follows a written response from the Health Minister to the Welsh Conservatives, making it clear 'detailed costs' are being developed for the policy.
When asked which of her colleagues was right in the Senedd Chamber this afternoon, the Finance Minister said 'both'.
Speaking after his question, Shadow Minister for Finance Paul Davies AM, said:
"Either extending GP opening hours will cost nothing – or it will cost something.
"If the Health Minister is right in saying detailed costs are being developed, then her boss can't also be right in saying there will be no costs. It's not rocket science.
"The Finance Minister holds this government's purse strings – yet it's quite clear she has no idea whether she'll need to spend money on her party's flagship policy.
"Someone's wrong and I urge the First Minister to either correct his Health Minister or confirm she is right."
