Preseli Pembrokeshire AM Paul Davies has recently attended the launch of the MND in Wales report by the Motor Neurone Disease Association at the Pierhead building in Cardiff Bay. The event also aimed to give Assembly Members a better understanding of the health and socio-economic impact of MND on patients and their families and raise awareness of the MND across Wales.
"I was delighted to attend the Motor Neurone Disease in Wales event," said Mr Davies.
"It was a great opportunity to hear from people who deal with MND on a daily basis, about some of the challenges they face – and how we as Assembly Members can do more to support MND sufferers across Wales. The MND in Wales report highlights a number of recommendations to the Welsh Government on how they can improve the care and support available to people with MND in Wales.
"As an Assembly Member for a rural constituency, I am regularly contacted by constituents who are incurring issues accessing appropriate treatment. It is essential that MND patients have the proper access to and support for specialist respiratory services and I will continue to promote this issue in the Assembly Chamber when at every available opportunity."
