Preseli Pembrokeshire Assembly Member Paul Davies has attended a "Complete the Cycle" event, celebrating an innovative respiratory inhaler recycling scheme. People in Wales with respiratory illnesses can now recycle their inhalers for the first time as part of this scheme, which is being rolled out by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) following a successful trial earlier in the year.
Mr Davies said: "I was pleased to attend this important event. Wales is the first country in the world to offer the service nationally, with over 100 Co-operative Pharmacies providing the service and that is something to be hugely proud of. I am delighted to see and hear that progress is being made with regard to recycling medical equipment. This is a simple, sustainable, service that will make an important difference to our environment."
