Commenting on the publication of further details about the Welsh Government's new London HQ, Paul Davies AM, Shadow Minister for Finance, said:
"The annual running cost of the Welsh Government's new London office will be £270,000 – a massive increase on its current London base.
"At a time when Labour is imposing drastic cuts on the Welsh NHS, it is shocking that Ministers are prepared to fritter away taxpayers' money on an expensive new London office.
"While it is right that the Welsh Government should have a presence in London to help maximise inward investment and represent the nation, Welsh Labour Ministers should be mindful of the financial reality for hard-pressed families.
"The fact that the Welsh Government's new office is only metres from Labour's UK headquarters further calls into question the motives of Labour Ministers.
"Instead of political posturing and empire-building at taxpayers' expense, the Welsh Government should be working constructively with the UK Government in Wales' best interests."
