Commenting on the publication of the Wales Audit Office report on health finances, Paul Davies AM, Shadow Minister for Finance, said:
"This report confirms the major challenges facing NHS bodies due to the record-breaking cuts imposed by the Welsh Labour Government.
"Labour Ministers ignored successive warnings about the impact that their real terms cuts to the Welsh NHS would have on the delivery of health services.
"Local health boards were bailed out to the tune of £157million last year and unfortunately, the Welsh Government does not inspire confidence that LHBs will be able to avoid going into the red in forthcoming years.
"Welsh Ministers need to digest this report and take appropriate action to alleviate the impact of Labour's NHS cuts on frontline health services."
