Preseli Pembrokeshire Assembly Member Paul Davies recently visited the Wickedly Welsh Chocolate Company in Haverfordwest, to discuss the food and tourism industries and to learn more about the challenges facing local businesses in Pembrokeshire. Mr Davies was accompanied by ITV Wales, who were filming him in his capacity as the Assembly Member for Preseli Pembrokeshire and as a candidate in the upcoming contest for Leader of the Welsh Conservative Assembly group.
He said, “Pembrokeshire is blessed to be at the very forefront of Wales’ food and drink industry and its tourism industry and I was delighted to visit the Wickedly Welsh Chocolate Company, which is a fantastic example of one of Pembrokeshire’s innovative food tourism businesses. Wickedly Welsh not only make first-class chocolates, which are supplied to companies like Fortnum and Mason but it also offers chocolate events and experiences and there’s even the opportunity of attempting chocolate-making yourself. Therefore, it’s great to be showcasing businesses like Wickedly Welsh and my thanks go to Karen and Mark Owen for taking the time to talk to me and show me around their premises. I sincerely hope that the Wickedly Welsh Chocolate Company continues to flourish for the future.”
