Preseli Pembrokeshire Assembly Member Paul Davies recently visited Pembrokeshire Wake Park during Tourism Week. The Wake Park near Martletwy was opened in 2017 by siblings Mark, Sarah and Steph Harris. Wakeboarders use the overhead cable, and with qualified coaches instructing the park, guarantees riders will be up and wakeboarding in their beginner lesson. More advanced wakeboarders are able to challenge themselves with a series of ramps and custom made features.
Wakeboarding is currently one of the fastest growing water sports and boarders are guaranteed their fix of adrenaline for the day.
Wales’ first outdoor aqua park is a welcome addition at the Pembrokeshire Wake Park, where competitors splash, slide and jump around an inflatable course.
Commenting on his visit, Paul Davies AM said “I was delighted to visit the Pembrokeshire Wake Park and see the fantastic facilities for myself. While I was there I was able to see wakeboarders in action and they were clearly having a fantastic time. With wakeboarding seeing a surge of interest, the Pembrokeshire Wake Park will no doubt continue to attract an increasing number of locals and visitors alike. The Wake Park is a great addition to Pembrokeshire’s tourism offer and I wish them well for their continued success.”
