Following the formation of the new Welsh Government, local Assembly Member Paul Davies has written to Vaughan Gething, the new Cabinet Secretary for Health, Well-being and Sport to urge him to re-establish services at Withybush hospital.
Local AM Paul Davies said, “The campaign to see our services returned to Withybush hospital is still the biggest issue facing my constituents and it’s important that the Welsh Government recognise that. Throughout the recent Assembly election period, I stood on a platform to see services returned to Withybush hospital where they belong and I will continue to do everything in my power to see that happen.”
He added, “Now that the Welsh Government has been formed, I’ve written to the new Health Minister calling on the Welsh Government to honour the results of the Assembly election in Preseli Pembrokeshire and give our local communities what they want – the special care baby unit and full time paediatric services back at Withybush hospital.”
