Local Assembly Member Paul Davies recently visited Crymych pharmacy to learn more about the work of community pharmacists and to discuss some of the challenges facing pharmacists in Wales.
Mr Davies said: “It was a pleasure to visit Crymych pharmacy and learn more about the challenges that local pharmacies are currently facing. We already know that community pharmacies, such as Crymych pharmacy, are delivering a number of important health services to the local area and it’s important that we continue to do all that we can to support them.”
He added, “It’s particularly important that rural communities have access to a local pharmacy network and that we support more and more services being delivered as close to home as possible. The Welsh Government must now encourage more primary care services to be delivered from community pharmacists to help ease the burden on local GP practices.”
