Local Assembly Member Paul Davies recently hosted an advice surgery in Haverfordwest with the National Autistic Society’s Pembrokeshire branch. The surgery gave Mr Davies the opportunity to meet with local people living with autism in the County and to discuss ways in which they can be better supported.
Mr Davies said: “I was delighted to hold an advice surgery with the sole purpose of discussing autism in Pembrokeshire, given the number of longstanding issues that people living in the area continue to face. I’d like to thank the National Autistic Society for their support in putting together the surgery and I look forward to continuing to work with the local branch to deliver better outcomes for people with autism in Pembrokeshire.”
He added, “It’s important that the Welsh Government recognises the day-to-day struggles of some people living with autism and commits to an Autism Bill to ensure that a duty is placed on the relevant authorities so that people are clear about the services that are on offer and how those services are being delivered.”
