Applications are now open for the 2018 GSK IMPACT Awards – a scheme which recognises and rewards UK charities that are helping to improve health and wellbeing in their communities. Run by healthcare company GSK in partnership with The King’s Fund, the Awards are a prestigious mark of achievement in the health charity sector and have been running for 20 years.
Charities that are at least three years old and have an annual income of between £80,000 and £2.5 million are encouraged to apply and be in with a chance of being named one of possibly ten annual winners receiving £30,000 in unrestrictive funding. An overall winner is awarded an additional £10,000 and up to ten runner-up organisations which each receive £3,000.
Mr Davies said, “I hope that as many groups as possible from Pembrokeshire make an application to the GSK IMPACT awards. These awards could provide some much needed funding for new equipment or to upgrade existing facilities. The awards are another great opportunity for charities and community groups to be recognised for the great work they do, but as the saying goes, you’ve got to be in it to win it! Therefore, I’m urging community groups across the County to take a moment to look at the scheme and if your group meets the criteria, then visit www.kingsfund.org.uk/gskimpactawards and make an application!”
