Senedd Member Paul Davies has recently visited Dragon LNG, one of the Liquefied Natural Gas import terminals at Milford Haven to meet with the Managing Director Simon Ames and hear more about the terminal’s plans to reach net zero by 2029. Mr Davies also visited its new solar park, which is one of the actions Dragon has taken to reduce the site’s carbon footprint and support the nation’s net zero ambition.
Mr Davies said, “It was a real pleasure to visit Dragon LNG and see the solar park for myself. The team at Dragon LNG are implementing several carbon reduction projects to help it on its way to become a net zero terminal by 2029 and I was really impressed to hear about their decarbonisation plans.”
“It’s crucial that this important work is supported by governments at all levels, so that the terminal can become a provider of renewable energy in the local area. I will be feeding back my experience to colleagues at the Senedd and urging the Welsh Government to do what it can to support Dragon LNG on its decarbonisation journey.”
