Senedd Member Paul Davies has recently visited Milford Haven Museum to learn more about the museum’s facilities and to hear about its plans for the future. The museum's exhibits deal with the maritime history of Milford Haven, its community, and its industries as well as current exhibits that consider the role that Milford Haven plays in supporting the world's energy demands. The Museum is in receipt of a two-year National Lottery Heritage Fund resilience grant which is inviting the public to work with the Museum in exploring its long term resilience and wider vision for a development as well as a small Welsh Museums Federation grant to work with young people to garner their views.
Mr Davies said, “It was a real pleasure to visit the museum and speak to Colin and Sue about how the museum is working with local partners and the local schools. It’s a really exciting time for the local area with the opening of Ty Hotel this Spring, which will have a positive knock-on effect on local attractions, and I know the museum is already developing some very interesting plans.”
