Keyston Young Farmers Club has recently been chosen to represent Pembrokeshire in the Senedd’s online gallery of community champions. Nominated by local MS Paul Davies, the YFC led an impressive community response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which included shopping and prescription trips for elderly residents, a fundraising walk that raised over £2,700 for hospital patients in Pembrokeshire. In recognition of their efforts during the pandemic, Keyston YFC also recently won the Mike Beckett (Group under 25) award at the Pembrokeshire Voluntary Awards.
Mr Davies said, “I’m delighted to have nominated Keyston YFC to represent Pembrokeshire in the Senedd’s online gallery of community champions. Their efforts throughout the pandemic have been outstanding and I’m pleased to see that the YFC has been recognised by the Senedd. Pembrokeshire’s strong community effort has been crucial throughout the pandemic and I really can’t thank groups like Keyston YFC enough for all their work, which has had such an impact in the local community.
