Local Assembly Member Paul Davies is encouraging the people of Pembrokeshire to nominate their favourite businesses across the County for a Countryside Alliance award. Also known as the ‘Rural Oscars’, the Countryside Alliance awards recognises excellence in rural enterprises in a range of categories from best butcher, to best village shop or post office. The deadline for nominations has been extended to Sunday 5th January 2020 so there’s plenty of time to submit your favourite businesses for an award.
Mr Davies said, “The Countryside Alliance awards are a fantastic way of recognising the quality of rural businesses that we have across the country – and of course, when it comes to high quality rural businesses, there’s nowhere that compares to Pembrokeshire. We have an outstanding range of food producers, pubs and other rural businesses and the rural oscars give us an excellent opportunity to recognise their hard work. Therefore, I do hope that people across Pembrokeshire will submit nominations before the deadline in January. Let’s do what we can to raise the profile of our rural businesses and make sure that Pembrokeshire is well represented at the regional and national finals next year!”
