RESPONDING to reports today that 'tentative' talks have taken place between officials from Wales and Scotland regarding a joint bid to host the Euro 2016 football championships, Shadow Culture Minister Paul Davies said:
"I would support any moves for a joint Welsh-Scottish bid for Euro 2016.
"It is a huge sporting event and it makes sense that we look at sharing the bid.
"It would be fantastic for Wales to see football greats from around the globe playing at the likes of the Millennium Stadium, the Liberty and by then, the new Cardiff stadium.
"It would provide sporting inspiration for youngsters all over the country."
