Responding to the Chancellor's Autumn Statement, which makes an additional £216million available to the Welsh Government to spend on capital projects, Paul Davies AM, Shadow Minister for Finance, said:
"This is welcome additional funding from the Conservative-led Coalition to invest in infrastructure projects in Wales to help get our economy moving.
"The people of Wales will now expect the Welsh Labour Government to end its culture of whingeing and blaming the Conservative-led Coalition and start taking responsibility for its own spending.
"Welsh Labour Ministers have the levers at their disposal and now, additional funding, to invest in our nation's infrastructure and drive economic growth in Wales."
Andrew RT Davies AM, Leader of the Welsh Conservatives in the National Assembly, said:
"The Welsh Labour Government has received a generous settlement from the Conservative-led Coalition and now has the challenge of investing wisely to create the conditions for economic growth and job creation.
"For Welsh Labour Ministers the excuses culture is over. The buck stops with Welsh Labour and it is now time for them to deliver."
