Pembrokeshire Assembly Member Paul Davies has recently visited the new Tenovus Mobile Cancer Unit, the largest mobile chemotherapy unit in the world. The Mobile Unit provides support and treatment to people living with cancer closer to their homes and saves patients the long, expensive and exhausting journeys to and from hospital easing the burden of cancer on patients and their families.
Mr Davies commented, “It was a real pleasure to join my Assembly colleagues on a tour of the new Mobile Cancer Unit and to hear first-hand about the impact that having treatment closer to home can have on patients. It’s fantastic to see this sort of work taking place across Wales but it’s also important that all parts of Wales can benefit, including here in Pembrokeshire. Therefore, I’ll be working with my Assembly colleagues to call on the Welsh Government to work with cancer treatment providers like Tenovus to ensure that mobile treatments are being made available to communities right across Wales.”
