Senedd Member Paul Davies has met with some of the directors of Cymdeithas Tafarn Sinc, the community group of the famous ‘Tafarn Sinc’ in North Pembrokeshire. The community fundraised and bought the pub, following the retirement of its previous owners in 2017 and has flourished, winning multiple awards and gaining national recognition. The group met with Mr Davies to discuss their plans for future and to discuss ways to promote the pub further.
Mr Davies said, “It’s always a pleasure to visit Tafarn Sinc – it’s a fantastic community-run pub and vital community asset. It’s very much down to the hard work and dedication of local volunteers and staff that the pub continues to thrive today.”
He added “The hospitality at Tafarn Sinc is second to none and it’s rightly been nationally recognised as one of the best pubs in Wales by media outlets. The pub is steeped in local history, is set in the backdrop of the beautiful Preseli mountains and offers a warm welcome to all. If you haven’t already visited this local gem, then I’d strongly encourage you to pay a visit and enjoy everything Tafarn Sinc has to offer.”
