Responding to the news that Pembrokeshire Coast has been voted the UK's Holiday Destination of the Year in the BBC Countryfile Magazine Awards 2018, local Assembly Member Paul Davies said:
“I’m delighted that Pembrokeshire has been rightly recognised for its outstanding landscape. Pembrokeshire really has it all; from breath-taking beaches, beautiful mountains and plenty of interesting attractions. As someone who lives in Pembrokeshire, we can sometimes take what we have on our doorstep for granted and so it’s important that we take a moment to enjoy living in such a remarkable place. We must also remember the hard work that goes into conserving our local environment and I’d like to extend my thanks to everyone who helps to keep Pembrokeshire as beautiful as it is. This award is recognition of that hard work.”
