Preseli Pembrokeshire AM Paul Davies has visited Ysgol Bro Gwaun to meet with pupils of the school council and discuss local and national issues. The students raised a number of issues including school reorganisation in North Pembrokeshire, the loss of services at Withybush Hospital, support for Syrian refugees and lowering the voting age to 16.
Mr Davies said, “I was delighted to meet with pupils from Ysgol Bro Gwaun and answer some of their questions. It’s great to see the pupils taking an interest in politics – I suspect there may well be a future AM or MP amongst the pupils!”
He added, “It was also a great opportunity to highlight my position on school reorganization and the work that I’ve been doing to see the special care baby unit and full-time paediatrics re-established at Withybush hospital. I hope that the students enjoyed the visit as much as I did and learnt something new about my work or my position on local and national issues.”
