Paul Davies, Assembly Member for Preseli Pembrokeshire has recently visited the VC gallery, an art engagement voluntary service based in Haverfordwest. The gallery is run by Barry John MBE who was a serving member of the Royal Welsh Regiment for 24 years and its aim is to bring people from all different parts of the community together through art.
Mr Davies said: “It was an absolute pleasure to visit the VC gallery. VC means ‘Veterans and Community’ and the gallery is a wonderful example of a small independent charity bringing together veterans and the community through art – as well as helping veterans who are struggling to adapt to civilian life. This is the kind of activity that the Welsh Government needs to identify, support and roll out across Wales and I look forward to supporting the gallery in the future.”
Barry John MBE said, “We would like to thank Paul Davies AM and his team for his visit and for the support he has shown and continues to give us”
