Local Assembly Member Paul Davies has recently visited Royal Mail's delivery office in Haverfordwest to learn more about its operations. Mr Davies met with manager Nicola Smith to discuss new technologies employed by Royal Mail and how the office processes and delivers mail.
Mr Davies said, "I was delighted to visit the local delivery office and see first-hand how the office operates. It's amazing to think that 35,000-40,000 items of mail are processed through this office every day. The staff work very hard to ensure that people living across Pembrokeshire have access to their mail as soon as practically possible and I commend them for their hard work."
He added, "Today's visit was an insight into how the distribution of local post is managed and to better understand the work of Royal Mail in Pembrokeshire. Therefore, I look forward to continuing to work with the Royal Mail throughout the Fifth Assembly to protect and enhance our local post services."
