Local Assembly Member Paul Davies recently visited the National Autistic Society’s (NAS) Pembrokeshire Branch as part of his consultation work to deliver an Autism (Wales) Bill. Mr Davies met with branch members to discuss the delivery of autism services locally and how introducing an Autism Bill could have the potential to better the lives of people living with autism in Wales.
He said, “It was a pleasure to once again meet with members of the local NAS branch and listen to their views on ways we can improve service delivery across Pembrokeshire. I have been working to create an Autism Bill, which is currently out for consultation and it was important to hear the group’s views on the Bill. We have a real opportunity to work with the autistic community in Wales to deliver a first-class piece of legislation and it’s great that the group are so supportive. I look forward to continuing to work with the branch and others across Wales throughout the legislative process to create a Bill that is as effective as possible.”
