Local Assembly Member Paul Davies has supported a petition submitted by Dr Chris Overton, SWAT Chairman, calling on the Welsh Government to retain safe, effective and accessible health care services for the people of Pembrokeshire.
Mr Davies said, “I’m pleased to continue to support any campaigns to return services to Withybush hospital. The people of Pembrokeshire have seen several services centralised further afield and it’s simply unacceptable. My constituents deserve access to first-class local services and should not be forced to travel further afield for lifesaving treatment.
I’m pleased to be working with some of my Assembly colleagues to stand up to the Welsh Labour-led Government and see our services returned as I believe that it’s so important to work together. It’s time that the Welsh Labour-led Government recognises this petition and the views of local people and commits to re-establishing services as an immediate priority.”
