Local Assembly Member Paul Davies recently attended an event to show his support for International White Ribbon Day (25th November) and help the campaign to end violence against women. Mr Davies attended the local event at Tesco in Haverfordwest wearing a white ribbon, and signed a pledge never to commit, condone or remain silent about violence against women.
Mr Davies said: “I’m pleased to support this very important cause and do all that I can to help the campaign to end violence against women. We all have a duty to make our communities a better place and educate our children and young people that violence is never the answer.”
He added, “I hope to see better joint-working across Governments, emergency services and the third sector so that those affected by domestic violence can have access to the services and support that they need. Only by working together can we tackle this issue once and for all.”
