Local Assembly Member Paul Davies is supporting Road Safety Week, the UK's biggest road safety event, led by the road safety charity Brake.
The theme of this year’s Road Safety Week (18-24 November) is to “Step up for Safe Streets” by ‘stepping up’ and learning about how to travel in a safe way.
Mr Davies said: “Every twenty minutes, someone is killed or seriously injured on a British road and so it’s important that we take the opportunity to reflect on ways in which we can promote better road safety.
"We all have a duty to review our own behaviour and look at ways in which we can make our roads safer for everyone. I hope that as we celebrate Road Safety Week, the Welsh Government will also do some reflecting and consider how it can promote design-led solutions that make our roads safer.
"Only by working together can we instigate real change and I therefore hope that the Welsh Government will take this opportunity to review its current policies and look at ways in which we can deliver safer solutions.”
