Local Assembly Member Paul Davies enjoyed a wonderful visit to the Fields Lodge B and B this week to celebrate the second UK National B and B Week.
Mr Davies commented, ‘The scenery in Pembrokeshire is second to none, and the location of this beautiful bed and breakfast is totally idyllic and a wonderful holiday base to explore what the local area has to offer.
The hospitality of Jayne, the proprietor of Fields Lodge, was fantastic and it was great to taste so much local produce, served as small canapes. I know Jayne prides herself on using as much local produce as possible, and has won Pembrokeshire’s Finest Breakfast for 2 years running which is a tremendous accolade.
It was great to talk to many of Jayne’s business suppliers this morning at the event which just demonstrates how important our B and Bs are to the local economy. It’s quite clear that our B and Bs are the backbone of our tourist industry’.
Following the event this morning, Jayne stated, ‘I am delighted to work with so many businesses and highlight the impact that small bed and breakfasts have on the local community and economy. National Bed and Breakfast week is a great way of celebrating this’.
