Local Assembly Member Paul Davies recently attended the launch of the Community Growing Resource Pack for Wales, which aims to help people start up new community growing projects. At the event, Mr Davies met with Clynfyw farm, a care farming project in North Pembrokeshire to find out more about the work that they are doing and some of the challenges that they are currently facing.
Mr Davies said, “I was delighted to attend the Community Growing Projects event at the Assembly. The event gave me a great opportunity to learn more about these projects and how they provide health and wellbeing benefits, improve the local environment and help bring communities together.”
He added, “I was particularly delighted to catch up with Clynfyw Farm, which do a wonderful job of making the countryside accessible to the local community, through its learning centre and local projects. The team at the farm have everything from a community garden service to a community apple juicing service, promoting the benefits of working with nature on our doorstep here in Pembrokeshire.
