Local Assembly Member Paul Davies has presented the 2016 Team Pursuit event awards in Crymych. The popular annual event, held at Crymych Leisure Centre, saw 260 entries from teams across Pembrokeshire and further afield compete for the prestigious Team Pursuit award.
Paul Davies said, “I was very privileged to present Sarn Helen with this year’s annual Team Pursuit award. Team Pursuit Sunday attracted a superb number of entries this year and so Sarn Helen certainly faced some steep competition. This event is a fantastic way of highlighting the importance of keeping fit and healthy, whilst having fun and bringing the local community together.”
He added, “Events like the annual Team Pursuit are a great example of the cohesive community events that Pembrokeshire, as a county, offers. I am pleased that a lot of fun was had by all who attended. My sincere thanks go to Roland and Pat Sherwood for organising such an event, which puts Crymych and Pembrokeshire on the map.”
