Local Assembly Member Paul Davies has showed his support for the Welsh agricultural community by pledging to support NFU Cymru’s ‘It’s Time to Back Welsh Farming’ campaign at the Royal Welsh Show. Mr Davies met with NFU Cymru officeholders at the Royal Welsh to discuss how he could best show his support for Welsh farmers and champion their produce. The ‘It’s Time to Back Welsh Farming’ campaign encourages consumers to show their support for farmers in Wales by pledging to buy Welsh produce.
Mr Davies said, “I’m delighted to support NFU Cymru’s ‘It’s Time to Back Welsh Farming’ campaign and I encourage people in Pembrokeshire and throughout the rest of the country to join me in backing this important campaign. It’s absolutely crucial that everyone supports their local farmers by thinking and buying Welsh when they head to the shops. In Pembrokeshire, we’re spoilt for choice when it comes to local produce and so I’m encouraging my constituents to take advantage of what’s offer and buy local.”
