Assembly Member for Preseli Pembrokeshire, Paul Davies has accompanied representatives of the RSPB and the Wildlife Trust along the Pembrokeshire coastal path to discuss several issues facing the local environment. The visit gave Mr Davies, who is a Puffin ‘Species Champion’ a chance to better understand local marine issues as well as challenges facing Pembrokeshire’s local wildlife.
Mr Davies said: “I was delighted to meet with representatives from the RSPB and the Wildlife Trust to discuss some of the issues facing the local area. Pembrokeshire is a wonderfully diverse habitat for so many species and so it’s important that politicians are mindful of the impact of any decision-making on the local environment.”
He added, “The coastal walk was a great opportunity to learn more about Pembrokeshire’s marine environment and its local seabirds. As the Species Champion for the Puffin, it was great to hear more about how these organisations support and protect the local wildlife and I look forward to working with both the RSPB and the Wildlife Trust in the future.”
