Local Assembly Member Paul Davies has attended an art workshop run by local artist Cynth Weyman at Milford Haven Junior School. Mr Davies attended the workshop, which was run as a result of his Christmas card competition. One of the class’ pupils, Martyna Koken was a runner up in the competition and won an art class for her fellow pupils, as well as a certificate and a £10 book token for herself.
Mr Davies said: “I was delighted to pop in to the art workshop for Martyna’s class. Cynth Weyman did a wonderful job of working with the school children and I’m sure the workshop was enjoyed by all. The workshop showed how important it is for children to explore their artistic side and develop their visual thinking skills and their imagination. There were some fantastic displays of creativity by the pupils and I hope that the children continue to enjoy art in the future. I’d also like to thank the staff at Milford Haven Junior School for their hospitality and support in organising the workshop for the pupils.”
