Local Assembly Member Paul Davies recently attended the Royal British Legion’s manifesto launch at the Senedd in Cardiff. Mr Davies met with armed forces representatives to discuss ways in which Assembly Members can better support Service personnel, veterans and their families across Wales.
Speaking from the Senedd Mr Davies said, “It was an honour to attend the Royal British Legion’s reception and to hear how the armed forces community can be better supported in the future. The Legion has established a set of recommendations for the next Welsh Government to help it address some of the challenges that some Service personnel and veterans face, including housing matters or access to health services.”
He added, “Locally, I’m proud of the strong reputation between military families at Cawdor barracks and the local community here in Pembrokeshire and I’d welcome any initiatives to better support the families living in the County. It’s crucial that our brave servicemen and women have access to the support and care that they need, when they need it.”
