Local Assembly Member, Paul Davies called in to Trwffl, a new chocolate truffle shop on Milford Marina to join in with their celebrations to mark the opening of their new shop.
Trwffl is owned by nutritionist Ellen Picton of Healthaspire along with partners Sara Alderman and Debbie Anthony. As dark chocolate has many health benefits Ellen wanted to create a chocolate treat that was full of flavour and with minimal sugar; so by combining 72% dark chocolate from Belgium, Pembrokeshire cream and welsh flavourings the recipe was created.
The range is also naturally gluten free along with a dairy free selection that is suitable for vegans.
Commenting on his visit, Paul Davies AM said “I was delighted to call in to Trwffl at Milford Marina on the day they opened their new shop. I understand that queues of people were waiting to come into the shop when the doors opened. Like me, I am sure they were hugely impressed by the various displays of chocolate.
It is fantastic to see each individual chocolate truffle made by hand and then hand dipped in chocolate before being decorated. With Welsh flavourings and ingredients, Pembrokeshire cream and honey being used, it really is a taste of Wales. The chocolate truffles I bought were delicious, and I am sure that Trwffl will go from strength to strength.”
