RESPONDING to claims today by First Minister Rhodri Morgan that Wales' mountainous landscape means some TV viewers will not be able to get Welsh channels after the switch from analogue to digital next year, Shadow Heritage Minister Paul Davies AM said:
"If this is the best the First Minister can do to reassure viewers in Wales then his response is deeply worrying.
"The Labour-Plaid Assembly Government needs to work with colleagues at Westminster and with Ofcom to tackle the pockets not being able to receive coverage after switchover.
"Not only do they need to deal with the problem of lack of reception, ministers in Cardiff and London also need to ensure everyone in Wales is prepared for the digital switchover and are unaware of how this change will affect them."
