Senedd Member Paul Davies has recently visited Shalom House, a hospice in St Davids that provides holistic palliative care to residents in Pembrokeshire that are diagnosed with a life-limiting illness. Shalom House was set up in 1997 and over the years has provided inpatient care, respite care and daycare to its residents, as well as offering support to their families too. Mr Davies received a tour of its facilities and spoke with the team about the ways in which they are supporting residents.
Mr Davies said, “Shalom House is an incredible place and the team there provide first-class care to individuals and their families. The team are extremely professional and dedicated to their work and it was really interesting for me to learn more about the types of services and therapies that they offer.”
He added, “Sadly, like many charities, there are financial pressures and Shalom House needs our support to ensure that it can continue to provide their vital services to residents in Pembrokeshire. They have set up a crowd funding page and so please consider making a donation and supporting Shalom House. You can find out more at https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/shalom-house-hospice
