Local Assembly Member Paul Davies is supporting the Giving Voice campaign, run by the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
The campaign is designed to 'give voice' to people with speech, language and communication needs and to ensure their needs, and those of their carers and families, are met. The event also demonstrated how speech and language therapy makes a difference to individuals and the broader society across the UK.
Paul Davies said, "I was delighted to be a part of this campaign and help raise awareness of the value of speech and language therapy to so many people across the country. It is crucial that we improve public awareness and patient information on speech and language therapies, and encourage the development of these skills."
"Speech and language therapists make a huge difference to people with speech, language and communication needs. It is essential that these services are recognised and that individuals have access to the therapy and support that they need. I hope that the Welsh Assembly Government continues to work to raise awareness of these therapies and to help protect these services in Pembrokeshire."
