Local Assembly Member Paul Davies is supporting British Gas’ #EnergyInnovation campaign and urging people across Pembrokeshire to learn more about smart meter technology. According to British Gas’ statistics, 3,325 smart meters were installed in Preseli Pembrokeshire by the end of June.
Mr Davies said, “I’m delighted to help raise awareness of smart meter technology and how it can help families and businesses across Pembrokeshire. Smart meters give people a much greater insight into how much energy they’re using and the interactive tool My Energy, not only gives a detailed breakdown of customers’ energy use but provides tips to make further savings. Technology is evolving and smart meters are a great way of using technology to meet the needs of energy users. I hope the people across Pembrokeshire will learn more about the benefits of smart meter technology and consider having a meter installed, to help better engage with their energy suppliers.”
