Preseli Pembrokeshire AM Paul Davies has recently hosted the launch of Farmhouse Breakfast Week 2012 in Wales at the Senedd. The event aims to celebrate and promote the use of Welsh farm produce in traditional breakfasts and to outline the importance of the Welsh farming and food industries to the Welsh economy.
"I was delighted to host the FUW farmhouse breakfast once again," said Mr Davies.
"It was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the success of the Welsh farming and food industries, as well as promote the benefits of a healthy breakfast. Wales produces a huge variety of food and drink and I look forward to seeing more and more Welsh products on the shelves of our shops and stores in the future."
"It was also a great chance to meet with representatives of the agricultural and rural industries to discuss some of the challenges they are facing. The Welsh Government should be doing everything that they can to support the agricultural industry here in Wales, including provide the farming industry with a much-needed update on their Bovine TB eradication policy. The Environment Minister must make a statement on this issue as soon as possible because the disease is having a detrimental effect on the farming sector. Clear leadership is needed to help support the Welsh agricultural and rural industries over the next few months."
