Local Assembly Member Paul Davies was delighted to reopen the Paul Sartori shop in Fishguard this week. Speaking at the reopening Mr Davies said, "It's a privilege to be asked to reopen the Paul Sartori shop in Fishguard which is now located in much bigger premises. This shop is a wonderful asset to the local community – and I very much hope the people of Fishguard support this local store for years to come. The role of charity shops on the Welsh high street is important for our society and also for our local economy. It is essential that we recognise the valuable contribution charity shops make to the organisations they represent and the essential services that they help to provide. The money raised at this store will help to provide a range of services that the Foundation delivers, such palliative care, home nursing support and counselling services."
He added, "It's also important to remember that the Paul Sartori shops are managed and run by volunteers, who give up their time and effort to support the Foundation. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank those volunteers, who really are the backbone of this Foundation, who help to ensure that the Paul Sartori Foundation goes from strength to strength. I hope now that the people of Pembrokeshire take the opportunity to visit this store and help support this invaluable local organisation."
