Preseli Pembrokeshire Assembly Member Paul Davies has raised the issue of apprenticeships in the Chamber with the Deputy Minister for Skills, Jeff Cuthbert AM. Mr Davies argued that given that Pembrokeshire is the energy capital of the UK, it is important that local apprenticeships equip young adults in the local area with the necessary skills to enter its workforce.
Mr Davies said: "I was pleased to hear that the Welsh Government is working with anchor companies in the energy sector to ensure that they are providing apprenticeships for young people in Pembrokeshire and equipping them with the appropriate skills to work in the energy industry. We have a thriving energy sector in Pembrokeshire and it is important that the Welsh Government does all that it can to support it."
