An event, hosted at the Assembly in Cardiff Bay to mark Hospice Care Week 2019 was recently attended by local Assembly Member Paul Davies. During the event, Mr Davies met with representatives of the Pembrokeshire hospice, the Paul Sartori Foundation, who were there to support the “This is What it Takes” campaign. The campaign is aimed at showing just how much it takes to run world class hospices across Wales and is the theme of Hospice Care Week 2019 which runs until 13th October 2019 and is a chance to celebrate the amazing work of hospices across the UK.
Mr Davies said, “I’m delighted to support Hospice Care Week 2019 and it was a great pleasure to welcome the Paul Sartori Foundation to the Assembly to hear more about the services that they offer people living in Pembrokeshire. I’m very proud of the work that the Paul Sartori foundation do locally and its presence is a real benefit to the County. Of course, there are still challenges facing hospices across Wales and whilst Governments can’t rest on their laurels, Hospice Care Week is a great opportunity to take a moment to reflect more widely on the work they do delivering care in the community and closer to home.”
