Preseli Pembrokeshire Senedd Member Paul Davies recently visited Haverfordwest High School to talk to pupils about the role of the Senedd and Senedd Members and to discuss local and national political issues. Mr Davies met with three groups and delivered a presentation on the history of the Senedd and the role of Senedd Members. He then took questions from the children and young people on everything from his local priorities to global challenges like climate change.
Mr Davies said, “I was delighted to meet the pupils and answer some of their questions. I was really encouraged by their interest in politics – in fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a future MS or MP amongst the pupils!”
He added, “It was also a great opportunity to tell the pupils more about the work I do and my political priorities such as retaining services at Withybush hospital, improving broadband connectivity across Pembrokeshire, and fighting for better autism services across the country. I hope that the students enjoyed the visit as much as I did and learnt something new about my work or my position on local and national issues.”
